As part of my weekly discovery hikes, yesterday I was fortunate to visit the snowy peaks of the Olympic mountains.
It was a perfect day indeed - clear skies, light winds, and expansive views were simply unforgettable.
The beauty of wildflowers sprinkled all around the melting snow were inspiring to press on higher and deeper into the mountains.
It was a place of many voices, prayer and offerings, the scent of clear mountain air, and a feeling of pure and innocent freedom, untouched by the troubles of time spinning in countless circles.
Those who know the dance of the other side enjoy the sameness of the spirit, for true light can only be known through the depth of darkness.
